Help Those in Need. We all want to help those in need at our church. St. John Neumann financially supports and works closely with St. Vincent de Paul which assists people with various needs. If you meet someone who needs help, send them to the Welcome Center on Sunday or to the main office during work hours for information on St. Vincent de Paul. The SVdP hotline number is 630-375-7746. Bags with essential supplies are available at our Welcome Center and our office.
Scam Warning. Do not respond to a text or email from our priests or deacons asking for a favor. It is a scam. Scammers often use the name of the person or organization that you know to get your attention. Please remember that we will never ask you to purchase gift cards on our behalf.
Diocesan Appeal 2024 Collection Weekend. This campaign has an enormous impact on the ministries and programs that are offered at our parish and throughout the diocese, including Catholic Charities, Catholic Schools, and seminarian formation.
We are hoping for everyone’s participation – big or small – to help support the life of our wider diocesan church.

Prayers for the Military. We would like to pray for family members of parishioners currently serving in the military. If you would like to have your loved one's name in our bulletin, send the name and unit of the military to HLauber@sjnstcharles.org by May 13. Let's honor them on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 18!
Blood Pressure Screenings. Our volunteer Parish Nurses will be available after all Masses this weekend for blood pressure screenings. Please stop by to get a blood pressure check or simply to ask a nurse a question! Remember, we care about your health, and you are never alone in dealing with life’s challenges.

Corpus Christi Procession followed by our Parish Festival! Join us on June 2 at our 11 am Mass, followed by a procession with the Blessed Sacrament around our beautiful grounds. The Neumann F.E.E.D. | Summer Adoration Nights.
Tuesday, May 28, 7-8:30 pm in the Guadalupe Chapel, join us for Fellowship and Eucharistic Evening of Devotion. On the last Tuesday of each month, we will begin with a short talk, followed by an hour of prayer with the Real Presence. Afterward, stay for community and refreshments. On May 28, reflect upon the relationship between mental health and our life with Jesus Christ.

Breakfast with Babies - Help Needed! On Saturday, May 11, we will host our next breakfast with babies, responding to the “Walking with Moms in Need" initiative. We need your help on Thursday, May 9, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, setting up the Hoffman Center for the breakfast. Lift Up Your Special Intentions during May. Mother’s Day provides an opportunity to pray for mothers while honoring and seeking the intercession of Our Blessed Mother. It calls us to cherish life and to pray for all women to whom God has entrusted life. As we pray for the gift of mothers, let’s remember those who experience difficult pregnancies and pray they may find support and encouragement in choosing life for their children. During May there will be a prayer box and vases underneath the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe at the entrance of the Hermes Center for your intentions and flowers to honor our Blessed Mother.

Community Events
FUN BUN RUN… 5K Run/Walk for Education.
On Saturday, May 11, make a difference in the lives of the children in rural Haiti. Hope for Haitians holds the Fun Bun Run 5K for Education to provide funds for children to have the opportunity to attend school. Funds raised pay for school fees, books, materials, and other essentials involved in learning. More details and registration here.
Lazarus House is pleased to announce the 4th Annual Posh Picnic on Friday, June 14th. This fun, one-of-a-kind fundraising dinner will be served at the beautiful Revelry 675 in Batavia. This is an elegant, yet casual atmosphere of fine dining and merriment while supporting those experiencing homelessness at Lazarus House. Come dressed in your comfortable, picnic attire!
