Surrender Retreat, a Day of Blessings. Saturday, November 4, 9:00-3:45 pm, in Hoffman Center. We are truly blessed by the practice of surrendering our hearts and minds, desires and dreams, everything about us to Jesus Christ. Co-sponsored by Catholic Charities of the Rockford Diocese, this retreat will focus on caring for one’s own mental health. Programfee is $20 which includes a light breakfast, lunch, talks, guided reflection, and more. Additional details and registration are found on our website.

Respect Life Sunday. Join us for a life chain at Waterleaf, Aurora. On October 1, Respect Life Sunday, we are called to cherish, defend, and protect our most vulnerable brothers. Our St. John Neumann Respect Life Ministry would like to invite you to stand for life and pray outside Waterleaf in Aurora at 3051 E. New York Ave. The Life Chain will take place from 2:00 to 3:30 pm, across the street from Planned Parenthood, Aurora. Let’s build together a culture that cherishes and protects every human life from conception to natural death!
Breakfast with Babies. Donations Needed! As part of our “Walking with Moms in Need” program, we are having our last breakfast with babies of the year on Saturday, October 7. In order to support moms and their babies, we need your help with donations. At this time, we are in need of boys & girls baby clothes (18-24 months), diaper rash cream, body wash and baby shampoo. If you have new or gently used baby items to donate, they are welcome! Please place all your donations in room 216 during office hours or on your way to Mass. Every item it is greatly appreciated… thank you!

1 in 4 women and 1 in 9 men experience sever intimate partner physical violence. If an adult is dealing with sever, ongoing emotional abuse, they begin to doubt their self-worth and emotional issues become overwhelming.
1 in 10 Americans aged 60+ have experienced some form of elder abuse. Elder abuse includes emotional, sexual, neglect, abandonment either by a family member at home or staff at nursing homes.
The mission of St. John’s Neumman Domestic Abuse Ministry, is to create awareness of this issue within our community and to provide a Catholic response to it by bringing hope, help and healing. To educate and inform of ways to promote family peace and to give hope to women, individuals and families who find themselves in an abusive situation.
